At Kiross Turfcare, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of our Kiross-branded products (zero turn mowers, ATV flail mowers, stump grinders, and wood chippers). This policy explains your rights to refunds and returns under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (for faulty goods) and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (for distance sales, i.e., online purchases).
This policy does not affect your statutory rights, which cannot be excluded or limited. If you are a business customer (not a consumer), different terms may apply—please contact us.
1. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
If the goods are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you have the following rights:
Within 30 days of delivery: You have the right to reject the goods and receive a full refund (including any delivery costs you paid). You must return the goods to us (we will cover reasonable return costs for large/heavy items where required by law).
Within the first 6 months: Any fault is presumed to have existed at delivery (unless we prove otherwise). You are entitled to repair or replacement (free of charge). If repair or replacement fails, is not possible, or causes significant inconvenience, you can request a full or partial refund (deducting for any use).
After 6 months: You must prove the fault existed at delivery. Remedies include repair, replacement, or price reduction/refund.

We will refund using the same payment method within 14 days of confirming your entitlement (or receiving returned goods/proof of return).
2. Change of Mind / Cooling-Off Period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
As an online (distance) sale, you have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel for any reason (even if the goods are not faulty):
You must notify us of your decision to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods (or the day after you enter the contract for services).
You then have another 14 days to return the goods.
The goods must be unused, in the same condition as received, in original packaging, and with all accessories/tags.
We will refund the full amount paid (including standard delivery costs) within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof you have sent them (whichever is sooner).
You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods (unless we agree otherwise or the goods are faulty). For large/heavy machinery, contact us first—we can arrange collection and may charge reasonable costs if not faulty.
Exceptions — The cooling-off right does not apply to:
Personalised or custom-made items.
Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health/safety reasons (once unsealed).
Goods that become mixed inseparably with other items after delivery.
If you requested we start any services within the 14 days and consented to waive the right.
To cancel: Email or call us with your order number and intention to cancel. We will provide a returns address/instructions.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned under change-of-mind rules (but faulty items are still covered under section 1):
Used or damaged goods (unless faulty).
Consumables or items that have been unsealed for hygiene reasons.
Items marked as “final sale” or non-returnable on the product page.
4. General Terms
All returns must include proof of purchase.
We may inspect returned goods and deduct for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish nature/characteristics/condition.
Refunds exclude any additional costs you chose (e.g., express delivery).
This policy applies to mainland UK deliveries. Contact us for non-mainland arrangements.
We are not liable for indirect losses beyond statutory requirements.

Warranty Policy

At Kiross Turfcare, we stand behind the quality of our Kiross-branded products and comply fully with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA). This policy explains your statutory rights, our voluntary manufacturer warranty, and arrangements for transport and returns in warranty claims. It applies to all purchases of Kiross-branded zero turn mowers, ATV flail mowers, stump grinders, and wood chippers from our website.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the CRA, which are mandatory and cannot be excluded, limited or overridden by any voluntary warranty.
1. Your Statutory Rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
Goods must be:
• Of satisfactory quality (free from defects and reasonably durable)
• Fit for purpose (including any purpose made known to us)
• As described (matching website specifications, images and details)
You have these rights for a reasonable period, generally up to 6 years from delivery in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (or 5 years in Scotland), depending on what a reasonable person would expect for the price and type of machinery.
Key remedies:
• Within 30 days of delivery: Short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund (including delivery costs you paid).
• Within the first 6 months: Faults are presumed to have existed at delivery (unless we prove otherwise). You can request repair, replacement, or refund/price reduction. We cover reasonable costs (including transport/returns for large items) where required by law.
• After 6 months: You must prove the fault was present at delivery. Remedies may include repair, replacement or price reduction (accounting for use). Transport costs may fall to you unless the claim succeeds.
Proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice) is required.
2. Our Voluntary Manufacturer Warranty
In addition to (and not replacing) your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary warranty on Kiross-branded products for defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
• Duration:
• 3 years from the date of delivery on selected products (as clearly stated on the individual product page or at time of purchase – for example, certain zero turn mowers, ATV flail mowers, stump grinders or wood chippers).
• 12 months on all other products unless otherwise specified.
• What is covered: Free repair or replacement (at our discretion) of faulty parts and labour. The product must have been used normally, maintained correctly (in line with engine manufacturer guidelines for Briggs & Stratton, Honda or Loncin), and not modified, misused, damaged accidentally or through neglect.
• Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, consumable items (e.g. blades, belts, filters), cosmetic damage, misuse, improper storage or maintenance, or repairs carried out by unauthorised persons. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original consumer purchaser.

If the fault is confirmed under this warranty, we will arrange repair or replacement promptly.
3. Transport and Return Costs for Warranty Claims
We limit our liability for transport and return costs to the minimum required by UK law:
• Where the CRA requires it: We cover reasonable transport, collection and return costs for valid claims (particularly in the first 6 months for presumed faults, or when we provide repair or replacement). This applies only for the statutory minimum period.
• Beyond statutory requirements: For claims after 6 months, voluntary warranty claims outside the early period, or non-faulty inspections, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. We will cover return shipping to you after a successful repair or replacement.
• Process: We will advise on the recommended carrier for safe handling of heavy machinery. We are not liable for damage in transit if you arrange your own transport. Contact us first for large items to discuss logistics.
If the goods are found not to be faulty upon inspection, you may be charged reasonable return transport and inspection costs.
4. General Terms
• This policy applies to deliveries to mainland UK (as per our pricing). Additional charges may apply for non-mainland UK – please enquire.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of use, business interruption) beyond what the CRA requires.

Kiross GS1500 Wood Chipper
Waranty
Kiross warrants the frame and all non-wearable, non-consumable parts against defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. During this period, replacement parts and associated labour are fully covered at an authorised service centre, subject to verification of the defect.
This warranty is non-transferable and applies exclusively to the original purchaser who acquires the chipper directly from Kiross. In the event of resale or transfer of ownership, all rights under this warranty terminate immediately.
The owner is responsible for all transportation, delivery, or collection costs of the chipper to and from the authorised service facility. This warranty covers only proven manufacturing defects and does not extend to damage resulting from misuse, accident, neglect, failure to comply with the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule, or any unauthorised modification. Proof of regular maintenance, including service receipts, must be provided in support of any claim. Consumable and wearable items (such as belts, blades, filters, tyres, batteries, oil, and fuel) are excluded from coverage.
